Abel & Rachael were married at the home of a cousin, James Green. Abel made a will dated January 14, 1692. Will proved November 23, 1724. On February 4, 1646, Nicholas Niles, stepfather to Abel, hath bound him the said Abel Potter with Mr. William Baulstone, for the term of eighteen years, with the consent of the said Abel; for the better security of Mr. Baulstone, the town consenteth herein and approveth thereof. On May 3, 1667 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, he bought of John Read, for 36 pounds, a right in Mashantatack. On October 10, 1671 in Providence, he & wife Rachel of Mashantatack, sold 60 acres and commoning, sittuated near Pawtuxet Falls, to Joseph Jenckes, said land belonging formerly to Rachel's grandfather Ezekiel Holliman.
