Her legal name may have been Abba, but she was called Abby/Abbie and had no middle name. Her parents did not approve of her boyfriend, John Potter, so she promised that if they let her visit Illinois she would give up John Potter. She visited IL, returned and married Potter; so her father never again spoke to her or her children. He left all of his possessions to his son. Abbie and John finished their lives together.
