ABBIE L. SHEPHERD

CASHMERE – Mrs. Abbie Lillian Shepherd, 76, Cashmere, a pioneer of Lakeside, died in a Wenatchee rest home Thursday after an extended illness.

Born in Kansas Jan 10 1885, she moved to Arlington with her family a year later. In 1903 the family came to Lakeside on Lake Chelan and she married J. R. Shepherd at Waterville Oct 12, 1913. They lived at Bray, Ione and Richland prior to coming to Wenatchee in 1920. Mrs. Shepherd had resided in Cashmere since 1945. She was a member of the Cashmere Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Lester Shepherd and Bingen and Ralph Shepherd, Sunnymead, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Harry Sparks, Bellingham and Mrs. Walter Schillereff, Seattle; a sister Mrs. Mabel Porter, Tacoma; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Jones & Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
