    In Alfred Centre, N. Y., Jan. 22, 1894, Aaron Coon, aged 88 years.
    The deceased was born in Petersburgh, Rensselaer Co., N. Y., Nov. 7, 1805. In 1835 he was married to Miss Julia Babcock, and continued a resident of Petersburg until 1857. He was a member and a strong supporter of the Petersburg Seventh-day Baptist Church; and when in 1857 he removed with his family to Alfred Centre, he did not wish to have his membership removed from the Petersburg Church.
    After a residence in Alfred Centre of twenty-two years, and a married life of forty-four years, his wife died in 1879. Since that time Mr. Coon made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Dr. Mark Sheppard, until her death, last August, since then with his grandson, Dr. W. W. Coon. He leaves a son and a grandson, besides a large circle of relatives and friends. His funeral and interment took place Wednesday Jan. 24th, at 2 p.m. B. C. D.
