Birth: 1620 in Prestwick, Lancaster, England
Death: 18 MAR 1694/95 in Accomack Co., VA
Will prove on June 17, 1696, probated Sept 15, 1696.
To sons Henry and Peter Walker Jr.: 250 acres at the head of Pitts Creek at the VA-MD line.
To son James Walker: 1/2 of 400 acres where I know live.
To son Daniel (under age 21): 200 acres where I now live.
To son Peter Jr.: 275 acres of marsh which Mr. Thomas Wilbourne and I took up, being 1/2 of an island between Gengoteage Island [Chincoteague Island] and Muskeedo Point.
To daughter Mary.
Wife resid. legatee.
Sons Henry and Peter ex'rs.
Witnesses:John Pitts, James Smith, Richard Flower.
1672-patent to Miles Gray for 400 acres; two years later he sold to John Flack who in turn sold to Peter Walker.
Peter left tract to his sons James and Daniel.
1771,
Daniel (wife, Jane) son of James, left the 1772 tract to son James.
Daniel also left to his wife Jane and then to a daughter Ann, 80 acres in VA and 46 acres adjacent in MD "where Jacob Benston lives"
1719 James and Eliz Walker sold 200 acres to Henry Read;
James had inheirted the tract from brother brother James who died without issue. 1724.
Read and his wife Ann sell property to John Fish who. in turn, sells it in Tabitha Smith.
1780 Smith and Mary Walker Melvin of Worchester sell remaining 200 acres to Israel Lane; Transaction states that James Walker had died without issue and that Mary (his sister) had inherited.
1788 Lane leaves tract to his wife Jane and then to his daughters Zilpah and Polly.
