General Affidavit

STATE OF Indiana, COUNTY OF Vigo SS: In claim No. 670084 of Alice and Chas. Varner heirs of Co. I/B/I/I? of the 27/13/16/1 Regt. of Ind. Vols./" Cav./" Inf./ U.S. Vet, Personally appeared before the undersigned duly authorized to administer oaths within and for said County, Louisa Robinson[1] aged 56 years, whose P.O. is Terre Haute, County of Vigo, State of Indiana, who being duly sworn states in relation to said claim as follows to wit:
I am the mother of Alice Varner and Charles Varner.
Alice was born July the 4" 1870 and Charles was born in July 7 1872 in Shelby County Indiana. I know this from the Family Bible record.

And affiant further states that he has no interest in this claim.

  1. 1.0 1.1 This should be Louisiana Robertson. She seems to have had bad luck with her name in official documents. In fact, some of the affidavits in the set are about the fact that she was Louisiana Varner, not Warner.
