I George Jörger of the Town of Reading in Berks County in the Province of Pennsylvania am (God be thanked) of sound and good Understanding and Memory but having considered the Mortality of Man I do therefore hereby make my Last Will and Testament and divide my Worldly Goods in the following Manner.
In the first Place I commend my immortal Soul into the Hands of the Great and merciful God who gave it me and my Body to be buried in a Christian like Manner in the Earth from whence it was taken.

2.dly I give and bequeath that is to say, I give devise and bequeth to my beloved Wife Elisabeth Jörger my House and Lot in Reading wherein I live, which I purchased of Jacob Dick, marked in the Plan of the said Town of Reading No. 170 To have and to hold the same to her and her Heirs and Aƒsigns forever.

3.dly I give and bequeath to my Wife Elisabeth Jörger the Sum of Five hundred Pounds current Money of Pennsylvania which Sum of Five hundred Pounds she shall first take out of my Estate clear of any Deduction on Account of Debts or other Charges, and that for her & her Heirs and Assigns forever.

4.thly I give and bequeath to my wife Elisabeth Jörger all my Household Goods, Bedding and Linnen and in ƒhort all and every Kind or Denomination of Household Stuff and Linnen, to her and her Heirs and Assigns forever and all these Bequests shall be in Lieu of her Thirds of my whole Estate.

5.thly I give and bequeath to my Son John Jörger the Sum of Five Pounds current Money of Pennsylvania as his full share of my whole Estate he having received from me in my Life Time a large Sum of Money.

8.thly I give and bequeath to my Grand Children the Children born of my Daughter Catharina the remaining two third Parts of my Estate which I have not hereinbefore disposed of as aforesaid and after my Debts are first fully paid thereout in Manner aforementioned and the same shall be divided amongst my said Grand Children in equal Shares which they shall receive, to wit, the Boys when they have attained the Age of twenty one Years and the Girls when they have attained the Age of Eighteen Years together with all the Profits and Interest ariseing thereon after my Death.

9.thly But in Case it should happen that both my Executors should die or be desirous of leaving this Province at any Time before my said Grand Children herein named attain their Ages aforesaid and their Parents should attempt to demand the said Legacies in the stead of their Children then it is my earnest Desire that in such Case nothing shall be given them unleƒs they give good Security for every Part thereof in such Manner as the Orphans Court of the County of Bereks shall direct him or them to do In Order that the said Children may well and truly receive their Legacies and every Part thereof according to the true Intent and Meaning hereof when they come to their full Age.
