From the book Trans-Allegheny pioneers historical sketches of the first white settlements west of the Alleghenies, 1748 and after. Wonderful experiences of hardships and heroism of those who first braved the dangers of the inhospitable wilderness, and the savage tribes that then inhabited it. dated 1886 link The caption on the images reads Thomas Ingles but does not specify Senior or Junior. I am assigning this to Jr. because it is placed just before the short passage about Jr. and it appears to be an engraving from a photo. Thomas senior passed away before photography.
