Marretje Klein, geboren 16-3-1851 op Schokland, gehuwd met Gerrit Kroes. Toen Marretje ruim acht jaar oud was verhuisde zij op 4-5-1859 met haar ouders en haar vijf broers en zusters van Schokland naar IJsselmuiden. Maar een jaar later verhuisden ze weer opnieuw, en wel naar Kampen. Net als zovele andere Schokkers woonden zij daar in de wijk Brunnepe (wijk 5, nr. 254). Marretje Klein overleed 22-10-1939 in Kampen, haar man Gerrit Kroes op 20-12-1925, eveneens in Kampen.
