December Tenn 1853 A memorandum of what I have heretofore given to each of my children: First, Whatever I have given to my daughter Elizabeth Truett, one negro girl valued at four hundred dollars and fifty dollars sence. And I have given to my son Edward Robenson heretofore one negro boy Heram valued at four hun dollars and fifty dollars in a horse since. 3rd I have given to my son Stephen Roberson, one negro boy Lafayette valued at three hundred and fifty dollars I have given him fifty dollars to make his negro equal to the rest, also, I have heretofore given him fifty dollars. 4th I have given to my daughter Catharine Turner one negro girl Jane valued at four hundred dollars. I have heretofore gave her fifty dollars in a mule. 5th I have never given my daughter Peggy Anderson deceased or the heirs of her body anything. I am due to the heirs of her body, five hundred & fifty dollars to make them equal to the balance of my children. 6th I have given to my daughter Sarah Jennings, one negro girl Charity valued at four hundred dollars. I have heretofore gave her fifty dollars. 7th I have given to my son Moses Roberson four hundred dollars in land to make him equal with the others. I have heretofore gave him fifty dollars. 8th I have given to my daughter Nancy Jennings one negro girl Nice valued at Four hundred dollars. I have heretofore given her fifty dollars in a mule. 9th I have given to my daughter Matilda Pritchet one negro girl Harriet valued at Three hundred dollars. I have heretofore given her fifty dollars -- (?) money. 10th I have given to my son John Robinson one negro girl Tunmar valued at four hundred dollars. I have heretofore gave him fifty dollars in money. 11th I have given to my daughter Martha A Marten one negro girl Elgin valued at Four hundred dollars. I have heretofore gave her fify dollars in a mare. 12th I have given to my son William F Roberson one negro boy Hansen (?) valued at Four hundred dollars. I have heretofore given him fifty dollars in a (?) and money. I James Roberson being in sound mind and memory to make provisions of my wife, Elizabeth Roberson after my death my request is that she shall have our negro woman Mary and five hundred dollars in money, one choice horse brute mare and saddle our feather bed furnature. I wish the remainder of all my estate sold and the money equally divided amongst the heirs. I request that my son Edward Roberson shall at my death later take charge of the money belonging to my wife and let her have it as she needs it. The last will and testament of James Robinson deceased was proved in open court and proved by the oath of Isaac Mullinas one of the subscribing witnesses thereto & was ordered to be recorded as the last will of said deceased.
