This photograph was almost certainly taken in the home on 4671 N. Figueroa Ave., where the family lived from 1929 through the 1950s. It was used as an "author with her family" frontispiece in Belle Wood Comstock's book The Home Dietitian.

This is Belle with her five children: Delos (oldest, seated left), Oliver (standing), Patricia (seated between Delos and Belle), and the baby twins Martha and Kenneth.
