Sgt. Cedric Bassett Popkin1889 - 1968

Description

Sgt Cedric Popkin, WWI Australian Army, shot down the Red Baron 21 April 1918. Cedric Popkin is a former Tyalgum Village resident & lived here after WWI. He was the first postmaster in the then brand new post office, located down near the school & hall. He was also a local carpenter.
