William Spencer of Stotfold and Agnes Harris of Barnstaple [2 February 2012]

One tends to be somewhat skeptical of the alleged 1633 marriage in Stotfold. I've seen no evidence of a return trip to England by William, and Barnstaple is at least 225 miles from Stotfold. I do not have access to the 1997 Spencer book, but the mention of five Spencer brothers in the title makes me a bit suspicious since Jacobus seems to have been certain there were only four that came over. Anderson did not mention a fifth brother, either. I'd welcome any discussion on this topic.--jaques1724 18:46, 2 February 2012 (EST)
