Possible duplicates? [13 October 2017]
Hi, Cos. This is probably not a duplicate with Family:William Hughes and Mary Unknown (1), but just wanted to make sure before marking them not a match. What is your take on this? Thanks, Gayel.--GayelKnott 15:14, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- Interesting... I would have to dig into it more to see. It looks like it could be a match, but the only info I was going on was a daughter's death record. The dates and places (almost) line up, so I'll put a note on each main page to call for more investigation. Is there a way that we can remove these pages from your potential Duplicates list, pending more research? That might be a helpful thing to have.
- Thank you again for staying on top of this. These potential duplicates don't always present themselves when I am entering data, so it is very helpful to have a second set of eyes monitoring it. I do think that we are getting somewhere (albeit slowly) with this site. I enter a lot of information directly from source records and am finding more and more matches here to pages that already exist with few to little sources and Person pages that can be connected to each other. It is rewarding when that happens! :)

- Thanks for getting back to me. If you add the note about a possible match, more research needed, I can always mark them Not a Match, which takes them off the Duplicates List and the can always be removed later if need be. I don't know of any other way to remove them. And yes, I think things have started to turn around for the site -- if nothing else, we seem to be getting more duplicate pages. :-) --GayelKnott 16:13, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
