Marriage date appears to be for daughter, not for couple [23 March 2017]
Hi, White Creek. The marriage date you have for this couple appears to be the marriage date for their daughter. I can remove it for you, or you can remove it yourself, if you prefer. Thanks, Gayel --GayelKnott 01:55, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
Thanks (I think.....?). What family are we talking about here? All I saw was "Unknown".

- You have entered Unknown (27639) and Unknown (27638) as the parents of Rebecca Gooding. You have a marriage of 14 May 1829 in Fayette County, Indiana for Unknown (27639) and Unknown (27638). You also have a marriage of 14 May 1829, Fayette County, Indiana for Rebecca Gooding. And you have a birth of about 1815 for Rebecca Gooding.
- In other words, you have the same marriage for Rebecca Gooding as you have for her parents, Unknown (27639) and Unknown (27638). The computer finds it a bit confusing, and has flagged it as a possible duplicate (suggesting that Rebecca and her husband are the same couple as her parents). Obviously, not so. The easiest solution is to simply delete the marriage information from Family:Unknown and Unknown (1) (this couple). It seems unlikely that they were married 14 years after the birth of their daughter, on the same date that she was married.
- It would also be a good idea to delete the person pages for Unknown (27639) and for Unknown (27638), since they are unknown and there is no information for them. You can do that by clicking Delete under "more" in the menu to the left of the page. The Family page would still be here, with Rebecca Gooding shown as a daughter.
- If you have questions or problems with this, let me know. Gayel --GayelKnott 19:19, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- I got your email. Contrary to what you seem to think, I have not yet made any changes to your pages, although I will do so shortly. The problem is that there is an obvious error in what you have entered -- as stated above, the marriage date, place and information for Rebecca's parents is the same as the marriage date, place and information for Rebecca. This kind of error is easy enough to make when entering data, and easy enough to fix -- which I will. --GayelKnott 03:50, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
