Sources needed to clarify why one Peter van der Wall is the husband of Maaike van Gemeren and not the other Peter van der Was [17 September 2019]

Wiswal, you initially had two different men named Peter van der Wall listed as the husband of Make van Gemeren, without any documentation to support either one. Now you seem to have chosen one, but again, you have no documentation or listing of sources to support your claims. As I'm sure you know, just listing names, dates, and places is not very convincing, and tends to defeat the purpose of collaborative genealogy sites like WeRelate, which depend on documentation, or the listing of sources, in order to be credible, and to avoid confusion.

If you can't provide the sources, then perhaps the choice of one Peter van der Wal over the other should be deleted and the two Peter van der Wals should remain speculative.

Hi, Wiswal, thanks for adding a source for the marriage of Maaike van Gemeren. Unfortunately, it is simply a derivative family tree and has no documentation, so the problem really is not resolved. Gayel --GayelKnott 00:04, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
