- I appreciate you taking the time to add this note. Do you have a reliable source for this? I ask because it is a common problem that speculation or incorrect merging of records (in some popular genealogy databases) results in a "fact" that becomes accepted and shows up in family trees. Further checking can reveal that the "fact" was outdated speculation or has been disproved. This is extremely common with data from the 17th century and earlier.
- So, before updating the record, I wondered if you have a solid source, or if this is just from one or more web-only family trees. Or maybe one of the other people watching this page knows the answer to this question and can add an appropriate note.
- Oh - and, by the way, OneWorldTree is not a reliable source, as it is one of those genealogy databases that incorrectly merged records (on a massive scale).
- I hope I don't sound condescending - I'm working on the assumption that I may be addressing someone relatively new to genealogy collaboration. These are lessons I had to learn a few years ago.--DataAnalyst 14:38, 2 August 2013 (EDT)
