When did they marry? A Susan Ostertag died in 1863, wife of John Ostertag. And the 1860 census has John's wife as Susan. So John and Mary most likely did not marry until between 1863, and 1865 when Mary appears as John's wife.--Acurley 02:24, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
