I went on-line, and found a dozen sites that say her name was Risley.

Who does the "Risley Association" nominate as John's wife?

The maiden name of this Elizabeth Irish is currently unknown. The surname Risley came from the book Descendants of John Irish by Willis Luther Irish. Unfortunatley, much of the early information he published has not stood up to scrutiny. There is a long list of errors found in this book but I am not sure it is currently online. --Susan Irish 18:30, 26 April 2009 (EDT)
