Family talk:John Adams and Sarah Rice (1)

Date not possible; marriage record not found [13 September 2010]

John Adams had children recorded in Sudbury VRs by his first wife Hannah Bent through 1690, so a marriage to Sarah in 1683 is not possible. Presumably the date on this page, 1683, is based on Sarah being dismissed to Concord church in 1682, but John Adams lived in Sudbury, near Framingham, so there is no reason why this dismissal to Concord would be connected with a marriage to him. John had a second wife name Sarah, based on a birth of son Thomas to a wife named Sarah in 1706, that could be Sarah Rice, but more proof is needed. --Jrich 10:17, 13 September 2010 (EDT)
