Need to resolve who was wife [25 June 2018]

Each marriage should have a separate page. If Jannes Jans Warners was married to both Aafke Gijwes and Aafke Lammerts (which seems quite unlikely, given her age), then each marriage should have its own pages.

Also, the URL posted does not work -- it goes only to the search page for Allegroningers, not to the page for the actual source. The actual source citations should include the name of the actual source, along with enough other information to allow other researchers to actually locate it. This is necessary in part because URLs change, become broken, and then the necessary information regarding the source is lost.

Without evidence that Aafke Lammerts was married to Jannes Jans, she should probably be removed from this page. She is much older than he is, and was married to someone else. Gayel --GayelKnott 18:40, 23 June 2018 (UTC)

My apologies. No idea how Aafke Lamberts was linked to Jan Jannes Warners; she is actually Aafke Gijwes van Til's grandmother (and my great6grandmother).

As for the broken links, AlleGroningers changed their website format a few months ago and all hotlinks became broken. I thought I'd fixed all the ones that I was putting up, but evidently not. I've been working with a genealogist in the Netherlands who has a contact at AlleGroningers, and has outlined the issues to them, but none have been resolved as of yet. As far as I'm concerned, the issue is on their end; all of my URLs came from their website, and should still be workable. In fact, the unique identifiers are still valid:

I find it ridiculous that their new website format will recognize one but not the other (that's my "wife of an IT guy" voice).

I have over 33,000 people in my database, on top of over 13,000 marriages, all referenced with the URL links provided by AlleGroningers over the last 15 years of my research. It's virtually impossible for me to go back and change all of these hotlinks, as is evidenced by the number of mistakes you've already found in what I've put here at WeRelate. Thanks for removing Aafke Lamberts. These things do happen. And yes, Alle Groningers did change their website -- and I'm not yet used to the new site, and have no intention of going back and changing all the links in my tree. It's still better to add actual source information for documentation, however, because you never know when or what the next change will be. --GayelKnott 14:02, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
