My guess at an atypical marriage record [3 April 2021]

I found the marriage license for Henry and Louisa in the La Porte County Clerk's book. Later, I found the list of their children, including one born in Mecklenburg and one "born at sea". My guess is that they wanted to be sure that there was a record of their marriage easily available in their new home land.--AZeller 01:54, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
