I would very much like a male Jackson descendant of David and Jane to participate in DNA testing at FTDNA! Just hoping that this line can be matched or connected to a known line! --Janiejac 12:29, 30 May 2010 (EDT)

Ah! We have had a known descendant to be tested at FTDNA and now know that this is not my line. There are several members in this group and their earliest ancestor is still unknown.

I am removing Jane's maiden name as it has been challenged and I have come to agree that there is no known documentary evidence that her name was Carlock. Indeed there was an earlier David Jackson who married Mary Melinda Carlock but this couple did not stay in Overton County but moved on to Illinois. The David Jackson and Jane of the Bible record lived out their lives and died in Overton County, Tennessee. --Janiejac 01:11, 29 April 2011 (EDT)
