Daniel E Shuff (b 4/18/1872 d 1/3/1969) and Elizabeth A Smith had 2 daughters.
1. Alice Beatrice Shuff was born c sep 1895 in Cuyahoga Co, OH. Per the Cuyahoga marriage records, she married Joseph B Simmons c 1913. (Although the marriage license records say "Simmions", all of the census records say "Simmons".) I'm aware of 3 children:
Joseph (b c May 1916); Louise E (b c Sep 1917), and Burneice (yes, that's the correct spelling -- she was named after Alice's sister) (b c 1925). I'm pretty sure that Bernice married Norman Gartman in Cuyahoga Co.
2. Burneice P Shuff was born 1/1/1896 in Cuyahoga Co. Her life must have had some troubles. She first married Henry Lange (see Cuyahoga Co marriage license records) around 1923-1925, but the marriage apparently didn't last long. Soon after, she married Ray M Irvin c 1925 (and yes, her name WAS Lange (per the marriage license records) at the time she married Ray). I am not aware of any children to this marriage, but on 12/12/1933, while she was at her home, she attempted to end her life by swallowing 5 bichloride of mercury tablets. She apparently received medical treatment, but the damage was done, and she died 5 days later on 12/17/1933. (See death certificate). Ray was the respondent. She was buried in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, Cuyahoga Co, OH.
