Family talk:Daniel Grinnell and Mary Wodell (1)

Marriage date [19 February 2011]

I replaced the previous marriage date of 1697 with about 1667 for reasons cited. The previous date made absolutely no sense, given that Mary Wodell's page says she d. 1673. That death date is wrong of course, but still the appearance is self-inconsistent and unreliable. Obviously the marriage was earlier than 1697 because Mary is named as husband of Daniel in her father's will of 1692, and Vital Record of Rhode Island for Little Compton lists the birth of three children in 1668, 1669, and 1670. Daniel Grinnell Jr. appears to have, himself, married several years prior to 1697, much less his parents. --Jrich 17:55, 19 February 2011 (EST)
