March 19, 1835 in Probably Jackson County, MO.. He married (2) MARGARET ANN LUCRETIA MCCORD March 17, 1836 in Jackson County, Missouri, daughter of BENJAMIN MCCORD and BETSY. She was born June 04, 1811 in Washington Cty VA or Cumberland Gap, TN, and died December 24, 1887 in Winston, Daviess County, MO..

"in the spring of 1837, Thomas Crandell settled in the northern part of section 30, half a mile west of Crooked River and May 3 entered the ne 1/4 of the n/w 1/4.
