From the above records we have proof that WILLIAM PICKENS and his wife MARGARET came to Pennsylvania before April in the year 1720.

They had, among their children, six sons, all of whom were born in Ireland, and in 1740, when there was a large movement of Scotch-Irish immigrants from Pennsylvania t Virginia, these boys, or most of them, were among them.
We do not have the record of the dates of their births, but their names were as follows:

William Gabriel Pickens

    William Pickens was born about 1670 in France. He moved to Ireland with his parents, Robert Andrew and Ester Jeanne (Bonneau) Picon, in 1685. He married Margaret (tradition says Pike) in 1682 in Ireland and sired six sons; Israel, Robert, Andrew, William, John and Gabriel.

    He moved again in 1719 to Bensalem, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The records in Bucks County, Pennsylvania from Neshaminy Presbyterian Church, indicate that William Pickens and his wife, Margaret were from Ireland and were admitted to the church in Neshaminy by certificate in April of 1720. They probably came from Ireland earlier that year.

    The precise date of his death is unknown, but is probably before 1740 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania or Paxton Township, Pennsylvania

From genealogy.org: The records in Bucks Co., PA from Neshaminy Presbyterian Church indicate that William Pickens and his wife, Margaret were from Ireland and were admitted to the church in Neshaminy by certificate in April of 1720. They probably came from Ireland earlier that year. They went to Augusta Co., Virginia in 1740.

The records of Bucks County Penn., show the death of a William PICKENS in 1735.

II. Lancaster County Pennsylvania was formed from Chester County in 1729.

Just before or shortly after 1729 several PICKENS young men moved to Paxtang Parish, or Township in Lancaster County, which is in that part of the County which in 1875 was cut off to form Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Between 1729 and 1739 there are many records of Israel PICKENS, Andrew PICKENS, John PICKENS, William PICKENS, and Gabriel PICKENS. ll of these were brothers, we believe, and sons of William PICKENS who joined Bensalem Chruch in Bucks County in 1719."
