Family History

A marriage license was issued 3 October 1940, by the probate court of Logan co., Ohio, to William L. Perry (occ. notary public) of Bellefontaine and widow Nora L. (Wolfe) Corey (occ. practical nurse) of Belle Center, both in Logan co. They were married the same day in Logan co., by Rev. John R. Bartow of Bellefontaine.[1]

On 26 April 1942,[2] William signed a card (as “William Lee Perry”) for the fourth registration of the WW II draft. William gave the name of his brother, Austin Perry of Kenton, Ohio, and stated that he was not employed, and he was residing in Belle Center, Logan co. The registrar's report describes him as 5'9½" height, 135 lbs. weight, blue eyes, brown hair, and light complexion.
