30 May 1748, Joseph Moore to William Magee, both of Edgecombe County, “for natural love and affection" gave unto "my son-in-law,” 125 acres on the NS Conehoe Creek below Indian Branch, part of a patent to sd Moore 14 Feb 1739

Joseph Moore named in his 15 Feb 1753 will, probated at Feb 1757 Edgecombe County court, wife Ann, sons Joseph, James, Hodges, Jesse, Ezekiel, daughters Ann Magee, Martha Hinton, Celia Moore. William McGee was also mentioned in the will.

19 Oct 1772, Thomas (x) Magee to Willis Magee “brother of said Thomas Magee,” for “love and tender affection, and two pounds, sold tract 200 acres on ES Little Coheary, beginning on Thomas Magee’s corner, running E to a stooping oak, thence N to the “run of the creek,” being part of a patent granted 31 March 1755 to William Magee “now deceased,” and fell to said Thomas Magee by heirship; wits. James Moor, James Magee, Lewis (x) Magee.

19 Oct 1772, Thomas (x) Magee to Phillip Magee, “brother to said Thomas,” for “tender love and affection” and two pounds, sold two tracts; first, 100 acres on Little Cohary at the mouth of Meadow Branch, running down the creek to a water oak, thence N along “the patent line,” etc., being part of the contents of a patent granted 10 April 1761 to William Magee “now deceased” and fell to said Thomas Magee by heirship; also another tract 100 acres on ES Little Cohary, beginning at a water oak at the run of the creek, running down the creek to the mouth of the Great Branch, thence up the run of the Branch to the “back line of the patent,” being part of a patent granted to William Magee 13 March 1755; wits. 9 Oct 1779, Ann (x) Magee to Lewis Magee “my son,” for “natural love and affection” and 5 shillings, gave negro girl Edy in trust for his support of sd Ann during her life, and after her death then in trust for the said Lewis Magee, but in case sd Lewis should die without issue lawfully begotten, then in trust for “my two daughters” Elizabeth Magee and Celia Magee; wits. John Peterson, Willis Magee.
