KISER COUPLE OF ALUM BANK WED 50YRS (1956) - aLUM bANK - M&M William Kiser will celebrate 50th wedding anniversary Sun with a family dinner in Weller's Dairy on the Windber Rd. Mr.Kiser was b. in Williams Station, PA (Somerset Co) in 1884 & Mrs Dora Deneen Kiser was b. in Hobblitzell, PA (Bedford Co) The couple married in Hyndman, PA (Bedford Co) in 1906, in Mr.Kiser's home by J.C.Carpenter, J.P. They have 11 living children (10 sons & 1 dau) - Walter T. of Philladelphia - Carl of Black Diamond, WA - Irvin of Baltimore, MD - Harvey of Los Angeles, CA - Robert of Colorado Spgs, CO - Edith, wife of Robert Hart of De Ridder, LA - Harold, a Marine Pfc stationed at Camp Meade in Baltimore, MD - John - Peter - Milford - Raymond (these last 4 sons live in the Alum Bank area). A daughter, Nellie, wife of Louis Eckenrod, of Johnstown, PA died in 1955. They have 36 grandchildren & 6 greats. Mr.Kiser, a retired mine foreman for Equality Coal Co of Kantner & Mrs. Kiser are in fair health.
