    "William Johnson of Lexington, Mass., who married Ruth Rugg of Lexington, Feb. 2, 1724-5. She was the daughter of Thomas Rugg, and grand-daughter of John Rugg of Lancaster, Mass., who was there as early as 1654. Mr. Johnson removed soon after his marriage to Concord, Mass., and about 1738 emigrated to Willington, Ct., where he had some years previously purchased a landed estate. His children were: 1st, William, b. April 2, 1725, in Lexington, Mass.; Abel, b. March 8, 1744-5; Elisha, b. Sept. 22, 1748; the latter two b. in Ct.; he had other children whose names have not been obtained."at footnote *.
