"I have a William Fox who was born 8/25/1815 in Reading, according to the family Bible of Minnie Elwood, his niece. He married Elizabeth Schonour 6/8/1845 in Bern Township, is listed in the 1850 census (1850 census lists William 32, farmer, born in PA, Elizabeth 27, Samuel 4, Mary Ann 2, Phillip 10/12, Jonathan Kefner 22, farmer, Daniel Raeboch 14, Elzabeth Baber, Amelia Gavist 12, (family 243, same dwelling) Philip Fox 73, farmer, Susanna 74, Cartena 10, William 4, Samuel 2) there, and in 1860 (1860 census lists William 45 farm labor born Pennsylvania, Elizabeth 37 born Pennsylvania, Samuel 13 born Pennsylvania, Mary 11 born Pennsylvania, Elizabeth 8 born Indiana, Lucinda 6 born Indiana) is in the Williamsport, Warren County, Indiana census. He died 3/18/1870 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Attica, Fountain County, Indiana. Evidently William had a brother, John, whose wife was Mary. They filed legal papers against William over some land William had purchased from him in Indiana but John then sold to someone else."
