The following information probably reflects two Williams, perhaps father and son:

1659 Jan 23. Baptism of William, son of William Edenfeild of Halifax, W. Yorkshire, England. Source: Ormerod's Parish Registers of Elland, Co. York. 1640-1670 & Churchwardens' Accounts 1648-1670, etc.

1719 Nov. "William Rodney vs. William Edingfield, debt. Agreed before Court." (FHL 0006511, item 7, p. 47)

1722 Apr 7. William Eddenfield appears as witness to the following will: Hugg, John, of Gloucester Township and County, Esq., will of. Wife, Elizabeth, sole executrix. Sons - Joseph, Gabriel, John, Elias and Jacob. Daughters - Priscilla Ayres and Hannah Hugg. Land which Patrick Flamingham lived on, purchased of William White, to be sold. Home tract of 340 acres with an island bought of John Ladd) bounded N. by my brother Elias' line from Randervour Branch at the Main Creek; 60 acres in Gloucester town bought of Edward Smouth; 500 acres purchased of Joseph Pigeon, with the neck of land that Joseph Edwards lives on, fronting Timber Creek; land adjoining John Richards, below Great Mantos Creek, together with reversions of Proprietary Rights. Witnesses - William Eddenfield, William Grow, Thomas Sharp. Affirmed 23 March, 1730." (NJA, Series 1, Vol. 30)

1724 March 21. A deed is made in which a William Edensfield and his wife Sarah sell a tract of land in Richmond Co., New York to Peter Andrewvet on March 21, 1724. Surname also appears in deed as Endensfield. Mark Dusochoy (see February 1725) is mentioned, possibly as owning adjoining land original is hard to read]. 1725 February 24. Receipt made to William Edenfield: This following receipt is recorded for William Edinfield the 24th day of February 1724/5. Received of William Edenfield of the County of Richmond Tailor the sum of thirty-five pounds current moneys of New York which being in full Satisfaction upon the account of my father Mark Dusosway's Estate and upon all accounts of my own from the beginning of the world to this day. I say, received by me this 29th day of July Anno Domino 1724 Abraham Cole, witness Job Dusosway, his mark (SIR, HGM)

1732. William Edenfield appears as owing money in the following New Jersey will: Ayers, Thomas, of Woodbridge, Middlesex Co., yeoman; will of. Children - Abraham, Sarah, Peter, Mary, Levie, and Rachel, all under 17 years of age. 60 acres of land between lands of John Campbell and John Wilkison. Executors - wife Mary, and brothers John and Obediah Ayers. Witnesses - Elinor Morgan, Jonathan Shepherd, Jno. Sarjant. Proved June 12, 1732. Lib. B, p. 287. 1732 Jun 12. Inventory of personal estate (#205, 2 shillings, 9 pence) incl. debts due from Wm. Edenfield, Hendrick Breese and John Bell; made by Moses Rolfe and Jno. Sarjant." (NJA, Series 1,vol. 30)

1755 Jul 1. William Edinfield appears as previous owner of New Jersey property (there is no indication of when the land actually changed hands): "Martin, Benjamin, of Piscataway, Middlesex Co.; will of. Wife, Philerato. Sons - Benjamin Nathanael, Peter. Daughter, Zerviah, wife of Jeremiah Blackford...Land bought of father, Benjamin Martin; homefarm on the Mill Brook, Woodbridge, bought in part of John Martin and in part of John Bloomfield; land bought of brother, Jonathan Martin; 16 acres in Essex Co., bought of Samuel Drake and Isaac Chandler; a lot at the Vinyard, bought of Wm. Edinfield..." (NJA, Series 1, Vol. 32).

1756 Feb 24. Estate of William Edingfield administered to his widow Ann Edenfield (KPR).
