Family:William Cockcroft and Mary Davies (1)

The following is from a Certified Copy of an extract of marriage:

1879 Marriage solemnized at the Church of St. Mary in the Parish of Widnes in the County of Lancaster.

Sept. 22nd, 1879 William Cockcroft 27 Bachelor Plumber Cross St. Widnes, William Cockcroft Warehouseman Mary Elizabeth Davies 20 Spinster -- Cross Street, Widnes, John Davies Labourer Married in the Parish Church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns by me, Eustace W. Cochman, Curate Signed: William Cockcroft and Mary Elizabeth Davies in the Presence of us, John Jessop and Jane Hains her X mark

It appears that Mary and William Cockcroft had three children but I have not been able to locate any of the births in the English birth indexes. There were two Walters and I wonder if the second Walter was the adopted son of William Brown listed in the 1901 census.
