Prominent among the notable social events of the year was the marriage of Miss Zelia Logan, daughter of Mrs. Rebecca Butler Logan, to Mr. William John Bentley, of Liverpool, England, which was celebrated with much beauty of detail on Tuesday afternoon, April 20, at the home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Perkins, in the presence of the relatives and closest friends.

[Extended details of dresses & flowers omitted throughout.]

The lovely little quartette included Misses Rebecca Perkins, niece of the bride; Annie Garey Hardie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Hardie; Eleanor McCarthy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. McCarthy; Charlotte Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. St. Clair Adams

The bride was attended by her little niece, Miss Mary Virginia Perkins, as maid of honor. [omissions] The bride entered with her brother-in-law, Mr. Perkins, and was given to be married by her mother. [omissions] Mr. Bentley awaited the coming of the bride at the place of celebration with his best man, Mr. John Allen Swanson. The ceremony was impressively performed by Rev. Beverley Warner, Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church.

A large reception was to have followed the ceremoney, from 5 to 7 o'clock, the several hundred invitations to which were recalled owing to a sudden bereavement in the family of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Bentley . . . left the same evening for New York, where they will spend the interim until the 5th of May, when they sail on the Arabic for Englnad, where they will visit the family of Mr. Bentley for severl weeks before traveling extensively on the Continent. On their return in the fall they will take possession of the residence they have leased in Pleasant, between Prytania and Colosseum Streets.
