One source claims that the parents of William C. Allison were John and Janet Allison of Augusta County, VA.

William ALLISON was born Feb 1773 in NC. William died Dec 1854 in Hardin Co., TN. He married Rosannah KERR 12 Jun 1798. She was born 7 May 1776 in NC. She was the daughter of William Andrew Kerr and Jane Neill. Rosannah died 27 Jun 1857 in Hardin Co., TN. They had 8 children:

m i. Andrew K. Allison, born 11 Aug 1799, died 1845 in gone before 1845.

f ii. Annie Allison, died before 1840.

f iii. Mary Allison, born 1 Apr 1803, died 1871/1875.

f iv. Jane Allison, born 16 Oct 1804. She married Thomas Allison Kerr. He was born 10 Dec 1795 in NC. Thomas died 13 Nov 1877, and was buried in Neill Cem., Hardin Co., TN. Tommie (Thomas Allison) KERR was commonly called "Tanyard Tommie". He was a Nephew of Andrew KERR, who had one of the original Land Grants in Hardin Co.

Jane Allison and Thomas A. Kerr adopted Mary Jane Allison , daughter of Easter Kerr and Adam "Eddie" Allison. Jane died 8 Dec 1893, and was buried in Neill Cem., Hardin Co., TN.

m v. Adam Allison, born 10 Oct 1807, died about 1835/1839.

m vi. William Barr Allison, born 31 Dec 1812, died 21 Jun 1861.

f vii. Isabella Allison, born 3 Jun 1815, died after 1874. She m. Solomon Hardy BAKER, of Wayne Co. TN. (They the gg grandparents of Tom Evans .)

m viii. Theophilus Allison, born 8 Feb 1820, died about 1862.

William ALLISON'S Last Will & Testament was dated December 16, 1845. William had a brother Robert ALLISON who owned the land that Exie Cook, Joe Hosea, Claude Young later owned in Hardin County, TN.

John ALLISON appeared as agent for William KERR and as Williams nephew. William RANKIN is about to remove to Kentucky, 16 Sept 1789. William & James KERR are sons of John KERR. Jury finds special verdict; patent to Wm. KERR 2 Jun 1760. Wm. KERR & Martha, his wife, 17 May 1768. Deposistion of Elizabeth MCCLURE, 5 Aug 1789. She was the daughter of John KERR.
