Willie always went by Corinne. She hated "Willie". She said her dad wanted a boy so he named her "Willie". Willie married Wayne in Sweetwater, Texas. She had a daughter Christene by a previous marriage. Wayne raised Chrissy as his own. --1Demo 11:53, 27 November 2006 (MST) Wayne had little education but worked hard. They had a premature child in Pecos, Texas. He only weighed 2 pounds. Willie said he was the size of a pound of butter. They had to put him in hot water and then in cold water, over and over again to get him to breathe. Willie said they had to haul water in big open barrels from miles away in the back of the Model T. Half the water would be gone by the time they got home.

They later moved to Andrews, Texas where Wayne become the first mayor. He also ran a grocery store with his lifelong friends Ben and Myrtle Coleman.--1Demo 11:53, 21 February 2007 (MST)
