Their children were Mary Elizabeth,Walter Samuel,Pearl May,William Clyde,Moses Andrew,Hettie Ruth,Eva Viola,Sarah Virginia,Cora P.,Edward,Paul John and Emery Moses Andrew Mann married Lucy Gaines Clark daughter of Jacob Arlington Clark and Sultana Virgnia Wallace. Moses and Lucy's children were, Helen,Dona,Chandos amd Max. Chandos Marion Mann married Vera Maude Rhoades, Chandos and Vera are my parents. Pearl May Mann met with tragedy at a young age. here is the article in the newspaper: The Daily Argus News - Dec. 15, 1892dec. 15,1892 james hargus of nevada,missouri yesterday went over to montevallo and asked miss pearl mann to marry him. she refused. he then shot her in the neck. then hargus placed the revolver to his own head and fired,killing himself instantly. miss mann is in critical condition and will probably die.Intelligencer 1891-1893 Jim Hargus, a young man 23 years old....took dinner Wednesday with the family of Warren Mann....The attraction was the pretty, blue-eyed, 16 year old daughter, Pearl....while Hargus and the girl were alone in a room, he shot her and then shot himself. Nothing is known of his antecedents except that he came to this county from Monroe or Audrain some four years ago... Warren,Sarah,Pearl Walter,Emery,Eva Viola Mann Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Mann Coffrin are buried in Virgil Cemetery Virgil City,Missouri. My parents Chandos and Vera are buried in Centerville Cemetery Devon,Kansas along with my siblings Carolyn Jean Mann,Tommy Ray Mann and Rosemary Mann Button, my grandson Samuel Adam-Michael Holtz is also buried in Ceneterville Cemetery along with my mothers side of the family Rhoades,Hall,Hurd,Harper,Decker,Killion,Eastwood to name a few. Moses Andrew Mann and Lucy Clark Mann are buried in Olive Branch Cemetery Montevallo,Vernon,Missouri as are Lucy's parents, Jacob and Sultana Clark. Lucy's sister Louella Temple Clark's husband Levi Penney is also buried in Olive Branch Cemetery. |
