Walter and Catherine had one daughter.

Walter's obituary reads, "WALTER C. DAGER. Walter C. Dager, 50, of 4002 Winter St., died at 5:30 a.m. yesterday at St. Joseph's Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. Born in Monroeville, he had lived here 20 years. He was a mechanic for G. S. Means & Co. A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, he was a member of its Holy Name Society. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving is the wife, Catherine C.; a daughter, Mrs. Wayman Thurman, Fort Wayne; a granddaughter; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dager, Monroeville; two brothers, Orville, Monroeville, and Kenneth, Fort Wayne; three sisters, Mrs. Homer Stephenson, Monroeville, Mrs. George Young, Sarahville, Ohio, and Mrs. John O'Shaughnessey, Lima, Ohio. The body was taken to the Mungovan & Sons Mortuary, where friends may call after 1 p.m. today. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the mortuary and at 9:30 in the Sacred Heart Church, the Rev. Lawrence Gollner officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. The Holy Name Society will have services at 8 p.m. today in the mortuary." Catherine's obituary reads, "Decatur. CATHERINE V. DAGER, 87, died Monday at home. Born in Allen County, she retired as a cafeteria employee at Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. in 1974. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou Thurman of Hicksville, Ohio; a sister, Betty Kohne of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C., in 1960, and a son, Kenneth O'Shaughnessey. Prayers at 9:40 a.m. Thursday at Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Calling from 8:30 a.m. until services Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials to the church for Masses."
