There is nothing to suggest that he and Cecilia had children together, only she and Torleiv. Vetrlide and Cecilia lived at Nes, her ancestral farm. Legends still survive about these two, who both survived the Black Death in 1350. They may have lived for a time at Lindheim at first, but moved to Nes when the eldest son of Torleiv and Cecilia took over the farm [Lindheim].
