Mary Josephine "Minnie" Crider married Thomas Golden Whitehead on 17 May 1894, in Auglaize County, Ohio.

Minnie's son, Guy William, was born 22 Oct 1893. His birth record is an affidavit that he filed himself in the 1940s to make an official record of his birth, probably for the purpose of registering with Social Security. The affidavit states that he was born in Bath Twp., Allen Co., Ohio, on 22 Oct 1893, the son of Minnie Crider, and illegitimate son of Thomas G. Whitehead. The affidavit was attested to by his mother's brother, Isaac "Ike" Crider of Delphos, Ohio.

Y-DNA results prove that the father of Guy William Whitehead was a Greer, not a Whitehead.
