Family:Unknown and Margaret Truscott (2)

Jennette was the second child of Margaret Truscott, born out of wedlock (“illegitimate”) and taken in by Margaret’s mother’s brother, Robert Struthers and his wife Hester Vaughnn Struthers, probably immediately as they were present at the baptism. Perhaps Jennette never knew that her “parents” were actually her grand uncle and aunt, and Margaret was her mother.

Her father’s name was Daniel Smith, according to Missisquoi Transcripts.
