Gaylord and Decima had one daughter. Gaylord's obituary reads, "GAYLORD McELWAINE. Funeral services for Gaylord McElwaine, 57, former Indiana Service Corp. employee who died Friday at a Richmond hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Madalyn Schone Funeral Home. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at New Haven. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today. Mr. McElwaine resided in Fort Wayne 25 years before entering the hospital at Richmond. Survivors include his wife, Decima; a daughter, Sandra Sue, at home; three brothers, Charles of Fort Wayne and Herbert and Ivan, both of Gassoway, W. Va., and four sisters, Gertrude Richie and Anna Drake of Gassoway, Mrs. Robert Buckner of Charleston, W. Va., and Mrs. Virginia Phillips of San Jose, Calif." Washington Blvd., will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the D. O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home and at 10 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, the V. Rev. Msgr. J. Nicholas Allgeier officiating with burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Mrs. McElwaine died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday at Parkview Memorial Hospital, where she had been a few hours. Born in Fort Wayne, she had lived here all her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Nora K. Gladieux, with whom she lived; a daughter, Miss Sandra Sue, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Aylene Speice and Mrs. Gladys Olinske, both of Fort Wayne; and a brother, Clarence E. Gladieux, Fort Wayne.
