The relationship between Mary and Daniel is not proven, but is based on the fact that Daniel's grandson was living with Mary and her family in Monmouth County, NJ, and that a descendant of Daniel and one of Mary share a MRCA of 4.1 generations. In addition, a John Tiernan was a witness at Daniel's wedding. They are most likely siblings of Owen Kilcommons and Peter Kilcommons. Daniel's great-grandson and Owen's great-great grandson have a MRCA at 3.5 generations, making it highly likely that Daniel and Owen were brothers. There is possibly another brother, John. A John Kilcommons and a Peter Kilcommons were both fined for public drunkenness in Buncrower on 4 January 1865. [Ireland, Petty Session Court Registers, 1818-1919; ancestry.com] Given the gaps between birth dates, there are probably several other siblings. On 23 March 1867, Daniel, Thomas and John Kilcommons, all of Buncrower, attacked Patrick Kenny of Keelogues, on the public road at Keelogues.
