Troy and Rose had four children, three sons and one daughter.

"Bud" served in World War II in the Medical Corps. He was sent to the Philippines and was at the liberation of Manilla.

Bud retired after 35 years as a foreman at International Harvester Company. He formerly owned Bell's Skating Rink in New Haven and developed Lakewood Estates in New Haven. They had a summer home on Shawnee Shores at Coldwater Lake, Michigan.

Bud died at Regency Place Healthcare.

Bud's obituary reads, "TROY E. "BUD" DUNLAP, 71, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday at Regency Place Healthcare. He was a native of Great Bend, Kan., and a World War II veteran. He retired after 35 years as a foreman at International Harvester. He also formerly owned Bell's skating rink in New Haven and developed Lakewood Estates in New Haven. Surviving are his wife, Rose Marie; a daughter...; three sons...; two brothers, Norman of Fort Wayne and Hilton Head, S. C. and George of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Prayer service at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 U.S. 30 E., New Haven. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. Calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Wake service at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Mother Seton Mausoleum of Fort Wayne Catholic Cemetery.
