Family tradition says John Tisdale was from the "town of Wales" in England. In 1854 H. A. Somerby was commissioned to research family, and said John was son of Thomas of Ripon, Yorkshire, baptized 7 Nov 1614.
↑ Thomas and Ruth Tisdale were identified as parents of John Tisdale by H. A. Somerby.
