[The first month of 1663 was Mar 1662/63. This date was interpreted as "15 Mar 1663-4" by Sidney Perley in an article in Source:Essex Institute Historical Collections (Essex Institute Press), p. 52:184, but that is a misinterpretation as that would be written as the first month of 1664, not the first month of 1663.]

  2.   In Source:Essex Institute Historical Collections (Essex Institute Press), p. 5:46, a brief account of testimony of "Ruth Siblye" regarding her second husband's estate, given in 1691, says that she first married to Thomas Small by whom she had one son and three daughters. There only seems to be two daughters in Source:Salem, Essex, Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records of Salem, Massachusetts, to the End of the Year 1849, but the probate of her first husband (Mar 1676) explicitly names Lydia, Hannah and Ann, one of whom appears to have died by Nov 1676, presumably Ann. There is no death record showing that one of her two sons (William and John) died. According to Source:Perley, Sidney. History of Salem, Massachusetts, p. 1:295, John was living 1676, suggesting William had died, but the husband's probate explicitly mentions only William, suggesting Perley got it exactly backwards.
