The proof of this marriage lies in the inclusion of a saddle in the inventory of Thomas Howes and also in the inventory of the widow Mary Prence.
p. 6:160 "Mistris Mary howes widdow : and the relict to the above menctioned mr Thomas howes seni'r : was sworne to the truth of the abovewritten Inventory The 26 of ffebruary 1665", [i.e., not married yet].
p. 6:232 9 Feb 1667/68, the real estate of Thomas Howes was divided betweeh his three sons. According to his will, this would occur if his wife remarried.
p. 6:233 1 Aug 1668 "Mary Prence" witnessed a deed, so certain remarried by this date, if real estate was divided by agreement by mother's wish.
