  2. Thomas's right to sell land that appears to have been inherited by Leonard brothers suggests he was the husband of a Leonard sister.
  3. Undocumented family trees on Ancestry.com and FamilySearch name Thomas's wife as either Elizabeth "Rebecca" Hubbard or Elizabeth "Rebecca" Spear. Some Ancestry trees, again without documentation, state that Thomas had a first wife named Alice Dowell.
