Thomas the son of John and Abigail, and Keziah daughter of William & Mary Bridgewater Morgan. They were married at Brownstown, Ind. by Samuel McConnell (possibly an uncle). Tom was a farmer; the 1850 Jackson county real estate showed $400. Tom died at age 44, and is buried in Jackson county, Mt Pleasant cemetery. (Grave records) After Tom's death, Keziah came to Iowa with the 6 younger children. They lived in Decatur county in Richland twp. on Sand Creek; later known as the Dave Brammer place. She lived near her sister Elizabeth (Morgan) Brammer. In 1858 Keziah married Sylvester Carrel. (His first wife was Druesilla Dunlap, they had a son James born in Keokuk Co. IA in the 1855 Wagon Train.) Druesilla died of child-birth in 1857. After Keziah death, Sylvester married Keziah's daughter Melissa Jones, widow of Lebert Jones. Keziah died July 17, 1882, and is buried at Young cemetery, east of Grand River. In Nov. 9, 1896, Sylvester accidently shot himself. He is buried by his first wife, Druesilla, at Young cemetery.
